As a Home Inspector for 25 years, I have encountered hundreds of Realtors. As with any profession, quality can vary. Why is Dana high quality you ask? When my mom passed in Oct of 23' we knew we would have to have the house we all grew up in, sold. Dana was referred to me by a realtor I hold in high regard, but couldn't work in NY. Dana behaved as our Realtor from the very first meeting. We didn't sign up with her, as we were waiting for probate to clear. She always checked in (not in that annoying pushy way). Offered to help with basically anything. Even posting our estate sale. At a later point we were told we needed a FOIL from the town. She had already done it and gladly handed it over. I feel terrible to say that during two estate sales to empty the house, we had several offers. Eventually selecting a wonderful family. It went as a private sale. But even after giving Dana the bad news that we weren't listing the house she was kind, courteous and still helpful. Only a quality person would behave that way. Dana is very personable and outgoing. We liked her immediately. When we were looking, we had specific areas on mind, but with what the market is, it was very difficult. We found a house in the area we wanted and they accepted our offer, we did the inspection but the seller decided to take a cash offer. Dana was upset as we were. We found another house they accepted the offer and we did the inspection. The seller decided to take the house off the market. We felt defeated as our house was in contract and we needed to find something., but didn’t or wouldn’t settle. Well it happened. My family caught Covid and. Outdoor not see anything. We looked online at many houses, throughout the days and nights and forwarded them to Dana, where she took ut upon herself to stand in line on rainy snowy cold days and faced time us to each house we liked. The seller, who is the person below was very rude, Has anger problems and is disrespectful. Dana and I were very accomodating to her and her husband. They were in a horrible financial situation that they couldnt even afford to cut the grass, they owed money for numerous accounts they had which set back the buying process of the home. Dana ran all over long island to the park office and to their house getting all the documentation needed for the sale. The sellers lied about things being broken in the house just so they can sell it. I gave them cash to buy the house and paid well over asking price. We also made a contract letting them live there after the sale so they wouldnt be without a place to sleep. Dana has helped me and my family purchase all of our first houses. She is more than a realtor to us, she is family. I highly recommend her! She isn't pushy, She listens to what you are looking for and she really does go above and beyond.
